Online Therapy via Zoom
As a therapist, I believe in the value of in-person therapy.
This is because it creates a solid base from which to build the therapeutic relationship, allowing for a closer connection between you, the client and myself. Most people find that being in the same room as their therapist encourages them to open up and develop safety and trust in the relationship.
On the other hand, there are individuals for whom online therapy via Zoom can be an excellent alternative option by removing barriers and making it more accessible.
Benefits of Online Therapy:
Access therapy from the comfort of your home or any location with an internet connection.
Overcome barriers related to location, transportation, or mobility issues.
Requirements for Online Therapy:
A stable internet connection.
A quiet and private space where you can speak openly without interruptions for the duration of your session.
Important Considerations:
Online therapy is not suitable for individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis.
If I believe that you would benefit more from in-person therapy, I will talk this through with you during our initial meeting and make an alternative recommendation.
